Preparing for a Federal Monitoring Review – 2012

This mini-course reviews the Head Start Monitoring Protocol and gives ideas to prepare for a monitoring review.

 

This is a 3-step process:

Step 1: View a pre-recorded PowerPoint overview of the monitoring process and protocol.
Step 2: Project Assignment – This includes, for each section, a Protocol Self Study, a Study Guide and a Summary of Services and Systems. This can be done by one person, in pairs, in teams.
Step 3: Make a written report, a short presentation, and/or a portfolio telling how your program implements the protocol.

You decide how to design this project for your program.

  • The big picture of Head Start performance standards and regulations as they are framed in the OHS 2012 protocol;
  • How your program implements these standards and regulations; ie your big picture;
  • Protocol and Compliance Indicators at a Glance;
  • Suggestions to prepare for your next monitoring review
